2023 Petite Sirah

Our Petite Sirah is sourced from old, head-trained vines in Calistoga, dry-farmed in rocky volcanic soils.

This is our only varietal aged in American oak barrels, where the bolder, spicy tannin profile beautifully complements Petite Sirah’s intensity while reflecting the varietal’s historic role in California’s winemaking heritage.

The 2023 vintage is fruit-forward and relatively restrained for the varietal. The nose opens with cassis, wild blackberry, and açaí, accented by dried fig and allspice. A hint of toasted coconut emerges on the palate alongside cocoa-powder tannins. The color is an inky purple.

Enjoyable upon release, this Petite Sirah does not require extended aging to soften, yet it has the structure to evolve gracefully for 15+ years.
