The 2013 vintage is well-known for providing big and bold red wines. The growing season started early with dry conditions and a long, sunny summer which made for high sugar levels in the grapes, leading to rich mid-palates and muscular tannins in our red wines. The Cunat Reserve of this vintage certainly does not disappoint. Showcasing a bright ruby-red color with a thick viscosity in the glass, this Cunat Reserve displays an opulence and complexity unique to our previous vintages. Allspice and blackcurrants on the nose follow into a delightful, rich mouthfeel exuding cassis, plum and cherry fruits and an exciting, bright acidity. With such an integrated tannic mouthfeel on the finish, this wine feels mighty going down but actually ends quite smooth. A very layered, and intricate wine. Pair with Mediterranean Lamb Burgers or a Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese Butter. Best from 2018-2032.
